I sure as hell hope this scoop is for real folks. For the 1st time in quite a while, I am excited about a new phone. No, not the kind of excitement that I get here and there that goes away with the wind. This excitement, for me, is original iPhone hype type excitement. (you know, the excitement many had prior the iPhone’s launch)
Add this all up. Dell – One of my favorite companies and the creator of my old love, the Dell Axim. Next up, Windows Mobile. Well, you know I have been a Window Mobile Device MVP for 7 years. I recently started giving up on Windows Mobile with 6.5’s release. It wasn’t enough. Too little, too late. Well, 7 has me a little reinvigorated. Now, sprinkle some impressive looking hardware into the mix. Add a slide out keyboard, OMG… I love me some sliders. Finally, throw all this on the carrier I already use. You have got to be kidding me. PERFECT.
The renders on these slides look slick as hell, but they’re no match for the spec sheet, which looks even better: 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, WVGA 4.1-inch OLED display, AT&T and T-Mobile 3G, five megapixel autofocus camera, 1GB of flash with 512MB RAM plus 8GB of storage on a MicroSD card (non-user-replaceable, we’re assuming), GPS, accelerometer, compass, FM radio, and full Flash support including video playback.
All that and it looks hot too? Wowwweee… I am so excited. Please let this come fast Dell. As soon as 7 is launched, this should be my new daily driver.
