While I love the atmosphere at CES, I think I am going to pass on this one. The scope of CES is way too big and so little of it is relevant to what we cover at Mobilitysite.com and other sites. The area we do cover is well represented at CES and some of the coolest stuff that will drop in 2008 will be showcased there, but it’s so hard to get to all the booths when you have to wade past 200 booths with crap I don’t care about to get to them.
I love the parties I get invited to, I love the meetings, and all the camaraderie that happens at CES, but I think I am going to concentrate my efforts on CTIA, Microsoft MVP Summit, and possibly Mobius again in 2008. I only get so much time off work to have fun at these conferences, so I have to plan accordingly.
I know Jack Cook from Mobilitysite is going and if I do pop in, it will be for a nightcap and a couple meetings, then out the door again.
