My I have the attention of the rest of the country?

By now, even if you do not give a hoot about Alabama, College Football, etc, you probaly heard about the 92,000 Alabama fans that poured into my small town of Tuscaloosa Alabama this past Saturday… They came from all around to see the A-Day Game. This is an intersquad scrimmage. As some clueless sport show guys call it, a practice. Yes! 92,000 fans at a practice.

Anyhow, this post is here to say a few things about what some of the national media is feeding you.

  • No. We don’t think we are going to win a National Championship just because we have a new coach. That’s not why they all came to Tuscaloosa to watch the A-Day game.
  • No. We don’t worship Nick Saben. Hell, he just got here. He has to win 7 or more national championships to get Bear Bryant status.
  • Yes. The University of Alabama fans are very fanatic.
  • Yes. The University of Alabama fans are eager to see how the Tide look after the spring. That’s why they flocked to Tuscaloosa

Just think, they turned away fans at the gate since the stadium was sold out. Yes, we also fill that stadium every home game too. What everyone is getting all worked up about is that we sold it out on a practice game. Are the other schools jealous or is the media attacking this support to get at Saben for the way he left Miami?

Anyhow, I often gig our own fans attitudes, but this time I am proud to be a Crimson Tide Fan!!! I wasn’t at the game. I don’t like getting out there in that traffic and we were busy Saturday.
